Destiny Robinson is a proud Brooklyn native who experienced firsthand the inequities woven into our education system while attending New York City public schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. That early exposure to systemic barriers sparked a lifelong commitment to educational equity.
Destiny earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Journalism from Long Island University and a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Leadership & Management. During undergrad, her passion for community work consistently led her back to the classroom—ultimately guiding her toward education program management roles with the NYC Department of Education (DOE) and Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). It was there she discovered her true calling: expanding access and opportunity for children who look like her, no matter their zip code or income level.
With 15 years of experience across education, EdTech, and nonprofit sectors, Destiny specializes in designing programs, strengthening partnerships, and building systems that make work both impactful and equitable. She has led initiatives at national and local nonprofits, the City University of New York (CUNY), Long Island University, and within the EdTech space—always centering strategy, people, and purpose.
At NEON, Destiny continues her mission to break down barriers to higher education and build programs that uplift and empower young learners nationwide.
